Position Overview:
Our client is a leading manufacturing company with a focus on extraction and filtration of manufacturing environment air, wastewater or other pollutants. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams and drive product development. This pivotal role supports the company's growth by overseeing all engineering activities, including planning, resource management, new product development, and process improvement. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to fostering a sustainable manufacturing environment.


Responsibility and duties:
  • Planning & Resource Management:
    • Develop and manage the engineering department's annual plan and budget.
    • Implement action plans to enhance quality, reduce costs, improve safety, and promote sustainability.
    • Evaluate and propose capital equipment investments (machines), tool modifications, and support services (training).
    • Collaborate with global stakeholders, including the R&D team at headquarters.
    • Provide support to the Managing Director as needed.
  • New Product Development:
    • Plan and coordinate prototype testing and validation.
    • Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) in collaboration with relevant departments.
    • Validate all process stages with Quality and Industrialization managers.
    • Manage and validate Engineering Change Requests (RFCs).
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including programming, drawings, FMEAs, and work instructions.
    • Validate custom tools and equipment
 

Requirements / Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing environments, with 1-2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of international quality standards (ISO, EN, UL, DIN, etc.).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, 3DExperience, and PDM/PLM systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Creative problem-solving, leadership and interpersonal capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • People-oriented, hands-on, and results-driven.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); local language skills are an advantage.
