Our client is a global tropical seed business who has their headquarters in Thailand. Currently they're seeking an experienced Group Inventory and Planning Manager to lead our global seed supply planning and inventory management efforts. This high-impact role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end planning, ensuring the timely availability of seed across generations and geographies and optimizing inventory across countries and the group.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Supply Chain Management

  • Translate global demand forecasts into actionable production plans across Commercial, Foundation, Stock, and Trial seeds
  • Allocate production targets across countries and 3rd party producers, balancing risk, cost, lead time, and compliance
  • Lead and oversee 3rd Party seed production contracts, deliveries, and performance

Inventory Optimization

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels at country and group levels, aligned with Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) and SLOB targets
  • Monitor supply performance, identify risks, and implement data-driven solutions to improve service and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with Sales and Demand Planning teams to drive accurate forecasting and planning alignment

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Serve as the key interface between Crop Managers and the Supply Chain team on planning and inventory topics
  • Lead S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) activities and contribute to long-range strategic planning
  • Support implementation of ERP and IBP systems, with a focus on planning modules and data integrity

People & Performance Management

  • Build and lead a high-performing global Planning & Inventory team
  • Drive a culture of accountability, development, and continuous improvement
  • Model EWS Core Values and foster cross-functional collaboration across geographies

Financial & Operational Excellence

  • Manage annual budgets for planning and production-related activities
  • Support CAPEX planning for technology and process improvements
  • Continuously improve planning, logistics, and quality processes for seed movement and delivery


Requirements:


Experience & Technical Skills

  • Degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, or a relevant scientific field
  • 10–12 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within seed production and supply chain
  • Proven track record in planning, forecasting, and inventory management at a global scale
  • Deep understanding of seed business operations and production planning
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., ABS, SAP, or similar) and advanced planning tools
