Safety Specialist

Our client is a leading company in the global agriculture sector, recognized for pioneering new technologies and practices that drive efficiency and sustainability in farming based in Chiang Mai. They are currently seeking for the Safety Specialist (12 Contract renewable every year). This role manages the company's to develop, implement, and manage company-wide occupational health, safety, and environmental (SHE) programs. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who combines technical expertise in occupational health and safety with a passion for fostering a culture of safety. 

Responsibilities 

• Oversee workplace safety management, provide expert advice, and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Actively engage employees in programs promoting safe work practices
• Ensure all staff operate in a risk-free environment and strictly adhere to safety rules and regulations
• Conduct thorough investigations of workplace incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective measures
• Monitor company compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations
• Provide comprehensive SHE training to employees and other stakeholders
• Prepare reports and recommendations to support continuous improvement in SHE practices
• Perform other duties as assigned related to safety, health, and environmental management

Qualifications

• Certified Professional in Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S)
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in safety, health, and environmental (SHE) management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Good command of English
• Deep understanding of occupational safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations in Thailand
