Our customer ranks among the automotive sector's largest global suppliers. Operating within a high-tech domain, they contribute to the advancement of mobility in a rapidly changing industry. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain for our automotive, lighting, and mirrors product lines. This includes customer service, planning, warehousing, and logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the automotive industry and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills as well as Manufacturing or Factory Concept. Familiar with the QAD system.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service
- Establish and nurture enduring partnerships with key clients to ensure mutual success
- Take a proactive approach to addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues related to order processing, delivery logistics, and returns management
- Monitor and manage client expectations to consistently deliver superior levels of satisfaction and service quality
- Collaborate strategically with sales and marketing teams to analyse customer needs and design effective, customised solutions
Planning
- Design and implement strategies for demand forecasting and inventory planning, including tracking production usage, inventory levels, scrap (both production and by-products), labor overtime budgets and forecasts.
- Update daily raw material requirements and provide accurate forecasts to support purchasing and logistics operations
- Optimise inventory levels to balance stock availability while minimising costs
- Ensure the on-time delivery of products to meet operational and customer expectations
- Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and enhance supply chain efficiency
Warehouse & Logistics
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipment of goods
- Oversee goods transportation by coordinating with carriers and streamlining shipping routes for efficiency
- Ensure adherence to applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvements in warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Good command of English
